About the Position: This position is located within the US Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, Real Estate Division, with duty in Huntington, WV. This position will provide assistance to realty specialists and managers by performing a variety of administrative support functions related to the acquisition of required lands, relocation of residents and businesses affected by acquisitions, administering relocation contracts and administering Relocation Assistance.

Duties

Independently completes recurring assignments to assist Real Estate professionals. Examines legal assemblies, tract files, policies of title insurance, correspondence and memos. Assists realty specialists by performing segment/portions of their work, such as completing real estate matters involving application of basic real estate practices and procedures, e.g. drafts routine and uncomplicated land leases. Closely coordinates complex and/or unusual acquisition financial transactions with counterparts at corps financial transaction processing center. Receives reviewed legal documents and/or relocation assistance applications. Assures that all necessary entries are made into the Real Estate Management Information System. Contacts potential project applicants, in writing or in person. Closely coordinates complex and/or unusual acquisition financial transactions. Utilize various office automation equipment, such as facsimile machines, word processors, computer terminals, printers, or copiers in order to compile information and to create various administrative documents.

GS-07 Specialized experience is defined as: Utilizing various computer systems to access, input, track and maintain information; preparing various forms, correspondence, memorandums and reports following guides and regulations, provide support functions related to the acquisition of required lands, relocation of residents and businesses affected by acquisitions, administering relocation contracts and administering the Uniform Relocation Assistance Real Property Acquisition Policies Act of 1970, as amended. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Computer SkillsFundamentals and Operations of FinanceManages and Organizes InformationWritten Communication Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade GS-05 (or equivalent) for GS-06. Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade GS-06 (or equivalent) for GS-07.
