You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (OA) in the Human Resources Office (HRO) of MARINE CORPS RECRUIT DEPOT.
Duties
You will create Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) for recruitment and non-recruitment actions, and maintain their case files.
You will extend job offers and assign correct pre-employment paperwork.
You will facilitate New Employee Orientation (NEO) training.
You will coordinate surveys of training needs and work with HR Specialists for further evaluation.
You will resolve minor employee issues pertaining to employee conduct, performance dissatisfaction, poor work habits, and tardiness and attendance.
You will pull reports and provide support with troubleshooting to resolve discrepancies.
You will compose and prepare routine correspondence.
You will coordinate surveys of training needs.
You will assist HR Specialist(s) with administration of Centralized Leadership Development (CLD) programs and Advanced Degree Program (ADP).
You will participate in the updating and revising of local civilian recognition/award policy.
You will review award packages, provide suggestions, ensure accuracy and completeness, and submit awards packages to identified recipients.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Performing technical work related to Human Resources (HR) employee development to include coordinating training surveys, analyzing training reports, and communicating with vendors; initiating recruitment personnel actions utilizing an electronic systems or programs; utilizing tracking mechanisms for registration, attendance, and budget; provide oral and written communication to plan, coordinate, and/or influence, resolve issues, and work towards a mutual goal.
GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Provide assistance and respond to technical questions regarding Human Resources (HR) development support services by Informing the work force of training opportunities, scheduling training courses, answering basic customer inquiries, and coordinating surveys for training needs; responds to incoming and outgoing correspondence for senior specialist; and creates and maintains electronic folders using an automated onboarding system.
