You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST in the COMMAND INFORMATION OFFICE, OPERATIONAL TECHNOLOGY DIV. of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Duties
You will administer the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of the NAVFAC organization's Operational Technology / Information Technology (OT/IT) programs.
You will provide advice and recommendations on IT/OT-system administration.
You will interpret and apply IT/OT policies, processes and guidelines, conduct systems and applications analysis/design and recommend resolutions to problems and issues.
You will troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems.
You will perform the functions of a System Administrator, Network Administrator and Information Systems Security Engineer

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 451/441 level BASIC within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Administering the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems to include routers, switches, workstations and servers in an Operational Technology (OT)/Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environment; 2) Managing accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment ; 3) Resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems; 4) Managing the installation and integration of systems fixes, updates, and enhancements; 5.) Performing system administration to troubleshoot and determine solutions for the installed operating systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
