Assists the Department with administrative support functions to include Automated Data Process Application Coordinator (ADPAC) responsible for coordinating business processes and software functions and ensures processes are in place to support the implementation of new and updated information technology systems and a variety of software programs integral to the overall administration and operations of the Veteran Experience (VE) service.

Duties

Major Duties: Automated Data Process Application Coordinator My HealtheVet is a Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) sponsored website for Veterans, their families, advocates, and VA employees. MHV is a web-based application designed for Veterans and their families with the goal of optimizing Veterans' healthcare. Through MHV, Veterans can build their own Personal Health Record by self-entering personal and health-related information, as well as their health readings. MHV online prescription refill is available to all Veterans. Assists the MyHealthVet Communications Specialist to Ensure Training/Education for Patients and Veteran Service Organizations Assists the MHV Communications Specialist in developing presentations and then delivers presentations to all levels of the VAMC/HCS, service organizations, Veterans, family members, and caregivers. Presentations are designed to inform the audience about MHV Program, MHV products, MHV capabilities, and health care issues. If directed by the MHV Communications Specialist and approved by proper authority, represents the VAMC/HCS at forums, conferences, and meetings. Collaborates with the offices of the Health Promotion Disease Prevention Coordinator when the responsibilities of those offices overlap with the responsibilities of the MyHealtheVet Program. Assists the MyHealthVet Communications Specialist to Ensure Initial and Follow-on Training/Education of Staff Assists the MHV Communications Specialist to lead the facility's efforts to integrate MHV and SM among healthcare providers and patients. Serves, in the absence of the MHV Communications Specialist, as SM liaison and administrator to VISN and National MHV teams. Assists with managing multiple projects by planning and organizing activities for secure messaging, social media, and all other MHV projects. Assists with planning, scheduling and coordinating work operations to ensure the success of the MHV program. Assists the MyHelathVet Communications Specialist to Ensure that the Facility Successfully Meets all Nationally Mandated Goals for the MHV Program to include Enrollment and Usage of Secure Messaging Establishes, develops, and implements, at the direction or in conjunction with the MHV Communications Specialist, local MHV-related goals, strategies to meet goals, identifies responsible parties, tracks progress, including monitoring goals/activity status, and assists in the development of reports status/progress to medical center management. Assists the MyHealthVet Communications Specialist in the Creation and Distribution of MyHealthVet Promotional and Instructional Materials Assists in the development of multimedia campaign materials (e.g., printed articles, brochures, videos) to enlighten target population. Assists in researching and writing articles, news releases and briefs for inclusion in publications and for release to other media. Uses social media to maximize outreach efforts. Conducts required coordination and obtains clearances as required for release of information. Maintains liaison with VISN and national MHV teams and coordinators to ensure correct, current, and accurate portrayal of information is provided to meet objectives. Green Environmental Management System (GEMS) All employees shall possess the knowledge and skills required to effectively implement the GEMS. Competency shall be monitored by the employee's ability to demonstrate through the implementation process that sufficient education and training has been provided. Monitoring will be performed by annual audits, questionnaires, and trending of staff knowledge. Information pertaining to monitoring of staff knowledge will be processed and reviewed by the GEMS committee and forwarded to the Environment of Care Committee for review. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/24/2024. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment. You may qualify based on your experience as described below: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Customer Service skills, Decision Making, Clerical experience and Communication. You will be rated on the following Competencies for this position: ClericalCommunicationCustomer Service (Clerical/Technical)Decision Making Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Physical Requirements: Regular and recurring work is mostly sedentary involving sitting at a desk, although the position requires the ability to move from one geographic location of the facility to another. The incumbent works with a computer screen and keyboard. Some physical effort such as standing, walking, bending or prolonged sitting may be required. The incumbent may be exposed to walking to outlying areas.
