About the position: This position is assigned to the Arnold Lakeside Community Complex on Arnold Village.
This is a Regular Full Time position with minimum guaranteed hours of 35-40 per week and standard benefits.
This position will also offer a relocation bonus with 1 year retention on Station (not a PCS move) for selected applicant who is currently residing outside of the 50 mile commuting radius.
This position is subject to irregular tour of duty to include, nights, weekends and Holidays.
Duties
Responsible for management and oversight of the Arnold Lakeside Club (ALC) and Community Center programs. Plans, develops, and executes diversified, innovative and needs-based social, cultural, installation-wide special events ensuring the events provide a quality experience in dining, recreation, leisure, social & military functions that incorporates customer feedback/inputs and meets AFI requirements. Develops innovative marketing campaigns designed to increase participation, promote programs and membership. Develops NAF and APF budgets for the ALC and the community center as appropriate and maintains accountability over NAF and APF assets to include setting up maintenance schedules for all. Analyzes and reports financial performance of both. Ensures revenues and expenditures are properly recorded and accounted for to provide for reliable financial and statistical reports. Reviews and evaluates purchases of supplies, equipment, and resale merchandise using al l required AF systems (SAIS/NAFRIS/ NAFDIS/IBPS/FoodTrak) to ensure proper purchase, inventory and accounting processes are used. Ensures proper cash handling and internal controls within the operation. Controls costs and maintains inventory to achieve a turnover rate of (at a minimum) once per month, maintains quarterly reviews and updates menu cost cards for all resale items. Establishes par stocks to ensure inventory levels are maintained. Plans and programs for events, menu changes and specials. Provides information to Flight Chief regarding capital requirements needs. Responsible for fire, safety and sanitation requirements related to the activity per standards. Receives and resolves customer complaints and requests for special services. Assists in food, beverage and program planning, assures preparation and food safety requirements are met to provide quality products and courteous service to customers. Responsible for work force management, recruitment, and staff training. Ensures employees follow proper cleanliness of facility, food storage and food handling procedures. Conducts training to subordinate employees in all areas and ensures mandatory training requirements are met. Plans and directs work assignments, setting employee work schedules and approving leave and special pay requirements. Uses SETS to maintain employee timesheets. Evaluates performance and recommends awards. Identifies and resolves employee performance and discipline concerns. Works under the direct supervision of the Community Support Flight Chief. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifying Experience:
Knowledge of MWR business operations to include supervising/managing a successful restaurant and food and beverage operation; knowledge of business policies and procedures, and marketing techniques. Successful personnel management is required. Must possess skill i n written and oral communication techniques to explain, justify, and present ideas and findings on a variety of issues as well as skill in planning, promoting and administering programs to meet the needs of the community. Ability to make decisions and work effectively under the pressure of timelines and rigid deadlines. Knowledge of budget, proper cash handling procedures, financial management and internal controls in order to prepare, monitor, and revise budgets. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and the public.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
