Duties
As a/an Supervisory Closing Coordinator, you will:
- Oversee and facilitate closing and post-closing transaction processing in the Office of Recapitalization through managing a staff of closing and post-closing coordinators.
- Serve as authority and advisor in the planning, direction and execution of policies, statutes, and regulations that are involved in closing of real estate transactions to preserve affordable housing and reviewing and monitoring of post-closing transactions under the purview of the Office of Recapitalization.
- Identify matters that are hindering affordable housing transactions and opportunities to enhance preservation, and provides overall direction to resolve issues and promote efficient operations related to closing and post-closing responsibilities.
- Plan, analyze, evaluate and oversee the implementation of preservation activities throughout the Office of Recapitalization and ensure compliance by the staff and Housing's employees.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
To be qualified for this position at the GS-14 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. This experience is defined as:
- Leading projects or teams that are directly responsible for developing or preserving affordable multifamily housing; AND
- Working with officials at the federal level (e.g. HUD, USDA, etc.), state or local level (e.g. Housing Finance Agencies) or industry groups that are active in developing or preserving affordable multifamily housing in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
