You will serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department Mid-Atlantic, SMDMA of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.This position is located at NAS Pax River.
Duties
You will manage inventory of a wide range of prescribed consumable stock items and categories of retain assets involving items controlled by NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support.
You will analyze and investigate any transactions which appears erroneous and makes the necessary or required correction.
You will confirm delinquent status for each item, expedites and cancel dues, and upgrades priority to maintain stock material inventory.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will review daily Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) transaction codes (T-Code) and reports from Information Management (Inform-21) to assure previous submissions are reflected, such as buys or changes and to analyze indicative data.
You will validate or cancel requisitions, initiate follow-up actin to the appropriate DLA or WSS to ensure that all outstanding orders are received in a timely manner.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading/overseeing and performing Inventory Management Specialist work applying knowledge of supply functions, inventory accuracy policy, physical inventory, location survey, and quality control procedures in order to improve procedures and inventory record accuracy and auditability of a supply/inventory program. Resume must demonstrate knowledge and experience in systems, techniques, and underlying supply inventory management concepts for determining, regulating, or controlling the level and flow of supplies from initial plan through acquisition, storage, issue, and utilization or disposal. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Applying knowledge of supply management and inventory accuracy regulations/policies to perform assignments, prepare reports and support inventory oversight; 2) Applying knowledge and understanding of Navy Enterprise Resource Planning and Financial Management supply program processes to ensure fund accountability and validity of inventory management data; 3) Applying a knowledge of inventory/stock control management programs to ensure recurring demand, frequency, and stock level setting is correctly forecasted and adjusted to meet changing requirements; and 4) Planning work to be accomplished, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepare work completion schedule of assigned staff members.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
