About the Position: This position is located at Fort Johnson, Louisiana.
Duties
Maintain a personnel folder for all new employees as part of in-processing
Review all requests for awards for completeness and accuracy.
Initiate a Request for Personnel Action for all approved awards for employees utilizing AutoNoa
Manage the BJACH Department of Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP).
Use computer and various software programs (i.e. Microsoft Office applications, excel, word, access, power point) to prepare correspondence, presentations and projects for the Civilian Human Resources Department.
Update reports on a quarterly basis for the Mission Essential Personnel tracker and monthly for the ODE program.
Conduct training to employees and Supervisors on programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) retrieving system data to report on program status; 2) preparing reports or written materials with grammatical accuracy and publication formatting; AND 3) coordinating personnel submissions in compliance with policy requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management, Business Administration, Human Resources, or other related degree program.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
