Duties

Coordinate all aspects of internal and external review of NEPA or environmental or natural resource management documents for projects. Review documents for adequacy, technical soundness and compliance with applicable law, regulations, and policy relating to natural resources management. Provide advice and assistance with preparation of required documents for submission and facilitate their processing. Complete quality control reviews on documents and processes, including but not limited to special requirements. Oversee the collection and interpretation of natural resource data and coordinate the appropriate dissemination of information.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-12: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Qualifying specialized experience includes meeting one or more of the following: Planned and coordinated a variety of environmental or natural resource projects; Provided analytical and technical advice and recommendations on matters pertaining to organizational processes, procedures, and policies; Coordinated or developed annual long-term management programs; Identified and evaluated problems and program management issues making recommendations to resolve issues at a unit level; Developed and implemented fire grants and agreements with cooperators; Maintained relationships with entities external to the organization regarding complex management program issues; Assisted with the development of cooperative agreements. Work Experience: Your resume must clearly document the following for each block of work experience; the beginning day, month, and year the work assignment started and ended; the hours worked per week; position title, and series and grade if applicable; and description of duties performed. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Education

There is no substitution of education for specialized experience.
