Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Schriever Space Force Base is searching for a Contracting Officer for the Space Acquisition and Integration Office (NH-1102-03, GS12/13 equivalent).
Description:
The Space Acquisition and Integration Office's (SAIO) is a unique integrated services acquisition organization with program, contracting, and quality management personnel. The organization is a direct report to the Space Operations Command (SpOC) Commander that executes a $9B portfolio in support of Headquarters SpOC, SpOC Deltas, United States Space Command (USSPACECOM), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) / Northern Command (NORTHCOM), and other mission partners as assigned.
The selected candidate will work for the SAIO Office, Space and Cyber Operations Division (PKO) located at Schriever Space Force Base east of Colorado Springs, CO. The contracting office at Schriever primarily supports SpOC Delta 6 and 8 responsible for the Satellite Control Network, Cyber Defense Operations, and SATCOM. PKO contracts include operations support of DoD weapon systems located around the world. We have a culture of empowered acquisition professionals that are encouraged to innovate. Requirements
- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- PCS funding is available.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
- Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- This position is eligible for situational telework, 4-6 days a pay period.
Qualifications
This position is covered by the OPM Individual Occupational Requirements for Contracting series 1102.
