Duties
The Director, Division of Resource Management and Administration (DRMA) provides direction and management of the Office of Nuclear Materials Safety and Safeguards (NMSS) mission support functions. This includes NMSS' complementary activities to corporate offices' functions of financial management, administrative services, information management and technology, and human resources management.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Ability to direct, lead, manage and develop a diverse staff to staff to maximize employees' and the organization's potential, including: recruiting, assigning, orienting, and developing staff; setting expectations for staff performance and accurately appraising and providing feedback on staff performance; and, recommending awards and recognition, as appropriate, in support of mission-critical programs with competing deadlines and conflicting resource Considers varied cultural backgrounds, work experience, and organizational roles in working with others. Adept at leading in times of change, innovating programs, and delivering results across a broad spectrum of responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability to quickly and independently evaluate and review programs, policy, and strategy issues, and conceive of and advocate solutions. (Example: Describe specific training, education, and skills which demonstrate your ability to develop one or more of the following: strategic planning; planning, budget and performance management; strategic workforce planning (critical skills and workforce planning); information technology; information management; business process improvement; contract and financial performance planning; internal controls and office procedures. Provide examples which have required you to understand, evaluate, and negotiate resolution of complex policy issues. For each example, describe the significance or complexity of the issue, the role you played, e.g., author, principal contributor, team member, etc., and the results or outcomes of your actions. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing. (Describe specific experience, training and accomplishments that demonstrate your communication skills. Describe in detail your ability to (1) lead discussions and consolidate complex and diverse opinions into concise presentations; (2) formulate balanced and well founded recommendations. Describe the various levels of individuals you interact with and for what purposes. Describe presentations or formal training you delivered and what topics.)
Demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships with peers, co-workers, administrative teams, and various levels of management both inside and outside the agency. (Describe your experience with collaborative efforts in which a diverse interdisciplinary team. Describe opportunities where you worked as a part of a team and had a leadership role. Include a discussion of challenging situations including both technical and personal complications which had to be resolved.)
Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service.
