The Postal Regulatory Commission has an exciting employment opportunity for a highly motivated person with empirical skills and interest in analyzing and interpreting postal service performance data.
Duties
The Research Assistant (Service Performance) PRC-2 will be responsible for:
Assisting in obtaining and compiling data from Postal Service and other sources.
Assisting in the response to special study requests from Congress.
Analyzing and interpreting postal service performance data, including metrics related to on-time delivery, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
Identifying trends and patterns within postal service data over time, across regions, and among different service categories.
Detecting anomalies and discrepancies in postal service data, investigating the root causes and proposing corrective actions.
Examining the relationship between service performance and external factors such as weather events, natural disasters, economic conditions, and regulatory changes.
Creating visually impactful graphical representations of service performance data for Commission reports.
Assisting in drafting reports and briefings to effectively convey findings.
Monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulations related to service performance measurement and reporting.
Requirements
- Citizenship Requirement: You must be a U.S. citizen or national to be eligible for this position.

Qualifications
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
Exceptional research, writing, and verbal communication skills
Experience in data analysis
Intermediate Excel skills
Demonstrated organizational skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in quantitative field or bachelor's degree in social sciences with demonstrated quantitative skills.
