Duties

- You must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- A background investigation is required.
- This is a bargaining unit position.

In addition to the education required for this position, you must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in analyzing and resolving exceptionally complex contested electrical engineering issues through settlement and litigation by developing positions that are consistent with Commission precedent and policy and achieve the Commission’s goal of just and reasonable rates. Experience in leading case teams and training and mentoring less experienced electrical engineers on contested issues before the Commission.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including any volunteer experience.
