Duties
As a Strategic Engagements Manager at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Assists USTRANSCOM senior leadership in developing and communicating Command guidance for transportation and logistics issues and ensures recurring Command-sponsored events are successfully executed.
Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) and program manager for USTRANCOM strategic engagements; developing and applying program strategy, goals, objectives, priorities, plans, programs, policies, procedures and activities.
Manages all calendars and/or planning mechanisms for USTRANSCOM Commander's strategic engagements, and the Command's engagements.
Provide guidance on engagements to appropriate USTRANSCOM divisions, such as Public Affairs, Protocol, and various schedulers, to communicate the vision for each engagement, and confirm overall cohesion of planning elements.
Participates in policy formulation; advises on internal and external interest; organizes and evaluates engagement strategies, goals, objectives, programs, and materials.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
Providing oversight to the Commander's Action Group (CAG) personnel in planning, administering, evaluating, and improving 4-star sponsored programs, conferences, orientations, distinguished visitor events, and senior-leader engagements.
Developing, and applying program strategy, goals, objectives, priorities, plans, programs, policies, procedures and activities.
Directing, organizing, and carrying out high-priority engagements, special assignments, studies, and projects personally assigned by the Commander, Deputy Commander, or Commander's Action Group Chief.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
