You will serve as a SUPPORT AGREEMENT SPECIALIST in the Naval Post Graduate School. Salary Range for GS-07: $61,023 - $79,331 Salary Range for GS-09: $74,642 - $97,034

Duties

You will manage the review, signature, or distribution process for agreements. You will coordinate with internal and external managers to promote and develop opportunities for partnering. You will monitor agreement performance to ensure compliance with organization's policies and procedures. You will maintain a tracking system to record agreement statuses and provide progress reports. You will review, draft, and edit agreements to ensure conformance with federal and local policy and format.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

GS-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assessing the agreement requirement and identify the appropriate type of agreement needed; 2) Providing data and reports on existing agreement for upcoming expirations, interim review due dates, reporting requirements and agreement performance status with regard to manpower and funding caps; 3) Conducting negotiations on agreements to accommodate changes in mission, support requirements, capabilities, and/or command direction; 4) Reviewing requirements to determine if the support can be obtained under an existing or new agreement; and 5) Conducting meetings, negotiations and briefings to support the support agreement program and to resolve any issues. NOTE: This experience must be supported in your resume to be considered for this position. GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting with assessing the agreement requirement and identify the appropriate type of agreement needed; 2) Monitoring and provides data and reports on existing agreement for upcoming expirations, interim review due dates, reporting requirements and agreement performance status with regard to manpower and funding caps; 3) Effecting approved updates, modifications, changes or terminations of agreements; 4) Reviewing requirements to determine if the support can be obtained under an existing or new agreement; and 5) Assisting with meetings, negotiations and briefings to support the support agreement program and to help resolve routine agreement issues. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

GS-09 Level
- Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree, or
- Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree, or

GS-07 Level
- Successfully completed 1 full year of graduate level education, or
- Successfully completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
