This position serves as the Chief of Staff to the BJA Director, to include coordinating the Director's schedule and activities, promoting achievement of the Bureau's goals, and representing the Director in meetings.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSGrade 15:Qualifying experience for the GS-15 level includes one year of specialized experience at least equivalent to the GS-14 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Examples include: Directing analytical studies involving criminal justice related issues; Completing high priority special projects, studies, and/or initiatives involving complex, critical, or sensitive criminal justice related issues; Providing expert recommendations on complex criminal justice related issues or problems; Leads criminal justice programs of significant size and complexity by conceptualizing, planning, organizing and implementing new or evolving policies and activities.TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONSApplicants who meet the minimum qualifications as described above will be further evaluated based upon the following technical qualifications:- Ability to communicate in writing on criminal justice related issues.- Ability to plan and execute criminal justice related work.- Ability to communicate effectively other than in writing on criminal justice related issues.- Ability to provide criminal justice related program management analysis, advice, and assistance.Additional information on the qualification requirements is outlined in the OPM Qualification Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions and is available at OPM's website: https://www.opm.gov/qualifications/standards/indexes/num-ndx.aspAll qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
