About the Position: This position is located in the Directorate of Resource Management at 60th Medical Group, Travis AFB, California. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Manage medical resource analysis and documentation systems to include the Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Expense and Performance Reporting System (MEPRS), and the Defense Human Resources System-internet (DMHRSi). Organize, collect, analyze and present information related to the personnel time and expense, statistical workload, and financial data of the organization. Monitor various budget reports for accuracy. Review expense data against established budget in order to identify discrepancies. Reclassify expenses to appropriate budget categories. Correct personnel and/or financial data to ensure accuracy of records.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
  • Immunization screening is required. Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing personnel administration support; analyzing data from expense reports or budgets; utilizing financial and reporting systems; and assisting with financial data reporting functions such as: inputting, gathering, correcting, and interpreting data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or Finance. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget AdministrationFundamentals & Operations of BudgetInformation ManagementReasoning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
