About the position: This position will be assigned to the Aquatic Center on FE Warren AFB, WY. .
This is a Regular Part Time position that is guaranteed 20 hours, with the potential to work up to 40 hours a week. Eligible for benefits including the following: annual & sick leave, health insurance, Group Life Insurance, 401K, & retirement.
The starting pay for this position is $20.00 an hour.
Duties
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Directs, manages and supervises the daily operation of the base indoor swimming pool
Directs, plans, administers, and arranges a variety of swimming programs to fit differing abilities and needs of the military, dependents, and civilian personnel
Plans, organizes, and implements well-rounded aquatics fitness programs
Organizes, promotes, teaches, schedules, and conducts swim meets, matches, special events, and daily activities
Recommends hours of operations, fees, and charges to the Outdoor Recreation Center Director
Supervises the day-to-day operation of the swimming pool
Closely observes and strictly enforces all safety rules and regulations
Performs routine chlorine and PH determinations to ensure healthful pool environment
Responsible for the daily preparation of NAF administrative documents to include daily cashier reports
Acts on and resolves all customer complaints to full conclusion
Maintain facility appearance, indoors and outdoors
Supervises the trained lifeguards and water safety instructors
Interviews and selects personnel for employment

Requirements
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, including a NACI Tier 1 background investigation and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
- This position has been identified as a Drug Test Designated Position (TDP). The incumbent of this position will be subject to and must consent to a pre-employment and random drug testing.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must be proficient in personal management, accounting practices, and budgeting.
Must hold and provide current Lifeguard Certificate from the American Red Cross.
Must be proficient and current in latest approved methods of lifesaving and resuscitation techniques to include cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adults, children, and infants.
Must be proficient in various swimming techniques.
May be required to come in contact and handle various toxic chemicals.
Must be able to lift and carry 45 pounds or over, and perform other lifeguard related physical duties.
Knowledge and skill in maintenance of various pool and use of safety equipment is required.
This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
