We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter who is interested in taking on an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team of subject matter experts while managing the fast-paced Operations mission within the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) Product Office. This operations support officer position is an NH-0301-03 with a salary range of $99,200-$153,354 located in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Perform expert management advisory duties for planning, analysis / implementation of Defense Acquisition Programs.
Provide advisory recommendations to management regarding personnel actions / problems with the relationship of staff work to broader programs operations within a project/product/program management office environment.
Analyze interrelated issues regarding the overall efficiency, effectiveness and/or productivity relative to the execution of operations within a project/product/program management office environment.
Develop plans and objectives for assigned management programs and procedures for gathering, correlating, managing data and advises management on any policy / procedure changes.
Identify areas needing emphasis, exercises guidance to ensure programs / initiatives meet management expectations.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance for the duration of employment.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Practitioner Level in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management within 60 months of entrance on duty.
- 10% Business Travel Required.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position based on experience your resume must describe one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11) grade level in the Federal service which includes:
Developing acquisition plans for communication or IT systems; AND
Developing procurement strategy based on cost estimates, technical risk, and technical requirements; AND
Providing oversight of a communication or an IT acquisition program to include cost, schedule, and performance metrics.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02) or GS-11.
