Duties

Manage the overall operations of issue, receipt, and storage activities. Coordinates with Accountability and Stock Control for approved site locations prior to making movements. Tracks and analyzes data to reveal problems and document delays. Applies resourcefulness and seasoned judgment to resolve complex problems when guidelines are incomplete or have only general applicability. Reviews workload data to determine the need for changes in programs, methods, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is covered by the 1996 Lautenberg Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor or felony crime of domestic violence are not eligible for the position.
  • This position requires an initial drug screening test as well as random drug test for duration of employment. Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and/or DA Form 7412,
  • Condition of Employment for certain Civilian Positions Identified as Critical Under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • Must successfully complete the General Transportation of Hazardous Materials Course and MTMC II, and must keep certification(s) current in accordance with (IAW) DOT regulations.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) applying regulations governing the shipment, receipt or storage of ammunition; 2) interpreting shipping documents to plan for proper loading/shipping and storage of ammunition; 3) utilize automated supply systems and applicable databases to research supply transactions to plan for storage and distribution requirements; 4) advises on ways to improve the efficiency and/or economy of the distribution or storage operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Transportation or Supply Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
