About the Position: Position is responsible for managing control of receiving, handling, storing, issuing and shipping of conventional ammunition items at both Tooele Army Depot and Tooele Army Depot South Area.

Duties

Expedite and oversee the complete processing of Material Release Orders for shipment of all ammunition and related items. Manage the overall operations of issue, receipt, and storage activities with responsibility for using Munitions Transportation Management System (MTMS-FM), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) , and other applicable databases. Develop program goals for the office based on analysis of ongoing shipments and anticipated operations. Develop justification for manpower, equipment, and related operating requirements. Determine the sites and facilities to receive, store, and distribute the flow of munitions between the point of receipt in the ammunition area. Research, interpret, and review storage regulations, safety regulations, conventional maintenance production schedule or other pertinent shipping and receiving documents. Compile estimates of man-hours, equipment time and materials; and designates workload priorities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be cleared IAW requirements of AR 190-11, Physical Security of Arms, Ammunition, and Explosives (AA and E).
  • Secret Clearance required.
  • Subject to random drug testing.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes includes using automated databases to perform workload management of shipping operations. Reviewing methods and procedures pertaining to issue, document control, inventory, and transportation of ammunition and general supplies. Advising on ways to improve efficiency and economy of shipping operations. Inspecting storage sites to determine compliance with safety, storage and shipping regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study]. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
