About the Position: This a Term NTE 13 months position with U.S. Army Institute for Religious Leadership at Fort Jackson, SC.

Duties

Conducts curriculum development by reviewing, testing, revising materials/contents for implementation, educational design sufficiency and technical accuracy. Analyzes, develops and validates instruction systems; manage the organization, operation, and resources to facilitate instruction and future planning. Include educational concepts to produce a learner-centered learning environment (e.g., Army Learning Model (ALM) and the Army Leader Development Program (ALDP)). Facilitate staff training for initial implementation of new programs and materials.

Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of six years. May be made permanent without further competition. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Arrange instructional design related training and ensure compliance with deadlines; 2.) Apply educational concepts such as the Army Learning Model (ALM) and the Army Leader Development Program (ALDP) to produce a learner-centered learning environment; 3.) Assess effectiveness of training and training development; 4.) Utilize automated training systems to assist with the development of practice exercises and examinations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Instructional Materials & Curriculum DevelopmentInstructional Program AdministrationInstructional Program Evaluation Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
