Duties

This position starts at a salary of $136,908.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $177,978.00 (GS-15, Step 10) with promotion potential to $177,978 (GS-15 Step 10). In this supervisory position, you will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals by directing a program segment of administrative services in support of an OFO Field Operations Office. Typical work assignments include: Serving as a liaison with the Office of Human Resources Management (HRM), including Labor and Employee Relations (LER), and Public Affairs programs in order to coordinate the consultation, implementation, and development of workforce management issue. Advising the DFO and other managers on all of DHS key support processes. Develops overall operational plans, objectives, and strategies for these processes. Providing technical advice and leadership in developing, implementing, and evaluating national programs in DHS key support processes. Partnering with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in developing, evaluating, and improving financial policy, plans, and processes. Working toward the implementation and improvement of the information technology program for the organization and the field offices served.

Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Advising the field office manager, and other managers on all of DHS key support processes and develops overall operational plans, objectives, and strategies for these processes Developing and implements short- and long-term plans to improve the delivery of services, to add new services, delete services not needed, and to upgrade facilities to assure the best possible service is provided Identifying developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training Working with managers to develop overall objectives and strategies to ensure the implementation of these strategies consistent with providing and maintaining CBP facilities that meet operational need Coordinating with other unit supervisors and peers to establish unit objectives, goals, priorities, and deadlines, and to formulate plans to meet substantial changes in workload NOTE: Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet this requirement, otherwise you will be found ineligible.
