You will serve as a TRAINING TECHNICIAN in the Flight Training Support Division of CNATRA.

Duties

You will monitors the operations of multiple software applications and computer systems that span the organization, crossing multiple domains and include navy wide systems to monitor performance and identify problem as they arise. You will conduct fault isolation using diagnostic routines sometimes having to employ unique routines for the specific condition and prescribes remedies to faults that do not respond to normal operator intervention methods. You will ensure that training system workstations are configured according to specifications provided by the Training Management System designers. You will Isolates workstation or software faults and reset, repair, or submit a service request for repairs;. You will analyze training system status information to identify the source of equipment failures. You will conduct in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnostics testing of the organization’s Training Management System (TMS) to determine the impact of system changes on discrete components of the system. You will perform root cause analysis on the functional use of the NATRACOM TMS.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For the GS-7: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-6 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: administering a training management system; performing training systems analyses to resolve technical issues; and recommending improvements to support quality and functionality of training processes. For the GS-6: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing support functions for a training program by monitoring a training management system; and recommending data entry solutions to promote training consistency.
