National Defense University (NDU) supports the joint warfighter by providing rigorous Joint Professional Military Education to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and select others in order to develop leaders who have the ability to operate and creatively think in an unpredictable and complex world.

Duties

Provides leadership and supervision for the Office of Enrollment Management and Student Services in its strategic vision and daily operations. Determines staffing requirements and planning for material needs; including preparing budget estimates and determining the internal personnel and resource allocation among the various colleges. Collaborates with the Provost and College Commandants and deans to develop and manage a comprehensive recruitment strategy. Represents the University on a broad range of issues pertaining to student academic records, enrollment management, and University unique programs and student-services to internal and external stakeholders. Serves as primary liaison to Deans of Students for all matters pertaining to the student experience at the university-level that require a high level of individual creativity to meet unique student needs and cultural challenges.

Qualifications

You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as: experience with program management, development of recruitment strategies, and budget planning. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
