In this position, you will serve as a Congressional Liaison Specialist for Region Six. You will oversee the region's interaction with congressional and other governmental stakeholders, ensuring that congressional offices are provided any pertinent agency or regional information updates, resolve congressional issues and make effective decisions, and coordinate with FEMA program scope issues and advise regional leadership.

Qualifications

To qualify for this Congressional Liaison Specialist position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the IC-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Researching, writing, and editing high visibility communications products, such as Congressional testimony, speeches, or talking points; Developing and delivering responses to inquiries or requests for information from the constituents of an elected official; and Collaborating or fostering relationships with Federal, State, local, or tribal entities.
