As a Cost and Alterations Repair Specialist, you will analyze and perform various cost estimates from repair and alteration projects to prospectus level construction projects for the region.Location of position: Region 9, Public Buildings Service: San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Sacramento, CA or Phoenix, AZThe Program Management Office is responsible for overseeing coordination of project support and is responsible for change management around Project Management practices.

If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is having subject matter expertise in design and construction cost management and schedule management management. This experience must include providing consultation and review services for costs and technical review to project teams to ensure projects are completed within budget; analyzing, developing, or providing detailed cost estimates for the most complex, unique, and involved major commercial office building projects; and providing leadership, expert assistance, periodic technical training, and authoritative advice.
