The Lead Building Engineer is located in the Capital Projects and Facilities Management Division of the District of Columbia Courts and works under the general supervision of the Chief Building Engineer. The incumbent performs field and administrative assignments through completion without supervisory assistance and is accountable for meeting quality standards, quotas, and deadlines.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED certificate plus eight (8) years of experience in general maintenance with mechanical, electrical, plumbing building systems, and HVAC systems for a building or building complex, and a minimum of one year of supervisory experience. District of Columbia Class 3 license are required.
Must be licensed to operate a DC Courts' vehicle.
Graduation from the DC Court's Management Training Program may be substituted for one (1) year of supervisory experience. You must provide documentation of your management training (i.e. copy of certificate) with your application.
Preferred experience:
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in general maintenance with mechanical, electrical, plumbing building systems, and HVAC systems for a building or building complex
A minimum of three years of supervisory experience
Proof of valid driver's license and District of Columbia Class 3 license must be included with your application or the application will not be considered.
