Duties
You will conduct research, identify, code, record, and file documents in support of the organization.
You will add records to the integrated library system (ILS) for materials lacking records.
You will assist customers with checking materials in and out of the library.
Requirements

Qualifications
To be considered you must be a recent college graduate, awarded a degree by a qualifying educational institution not more than two years before the date of appointment (extended to four years before date of appointment for veterans who completed a period of obligated uniformed service of more than four years, and were awarded a degree by qualifying educational institution).
For the GS-6:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Servicing the needs of customers according to library policies and procedures; 2) Helping to maintain computer databases used to locate library materials; 3) Maintaining office records by locating and compiling data or information from files and compiling information for reports; and 4) Managing departmental calendar and tracking deadlines and other important dates. NOTE: This information must be fully supported in your resume.
For the GS-5:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Meeting and greeting customers in a courteous and professional manner; 2) Checking-out library materials to customers and checking-in returned materials; 3) Sorting and reshelving returned library materials; and 4) Performing routine clerical tasks (e.g. answering phones and organizing files, etc.). Education
In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of at four full academic years of education above high school
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
