You will serve as a Training Operations Support Assistant (OA) of TRAWING FIVE.
Duties
You will perform a full range of administrative assignments ensuring that all Naval Flight Training events for Student Naval Aviators (SNA) are documented in the Tango Sierra Hotel Aviation Readiness Program (T-SHARP) as per CNATRA Instructions.
You will perform a wide variety of office automation responsibilities such as various word processing assignments; the use of graphic and database programs; revision/review of naval correspondences and instructions.
You will provide admin support for all Safety/Naval Aviation Training Operations Procedures (NATOPS) correspondences, maintenance of manuals, directives and instruction for the Safety Officer, Aviation Safety Officer and Ground Safety Officer.
You will retrieve Individual Flight Activity Report (IFAR) reports and Qualification Matrix projection timeline via WingStats.
You will update the monthly training plan with instructors’ flight hours, syllabus event qualifications, off-line standardization exams and evaluations coming up for renewal.
You will generate required paperwork in case of student academic examination failures and ensure proper notification is made to cognizant squadron student control and other departments as required.
You will manage inventories of all printed training publications, and various other instructional media and ground training supplies required in the support of all training.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
For the GS-05
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing administrative support duties for a training program (e.g., data input, personnel support, student rosters, student check-in/out, and monitoring training schedules/progress) and using automated systems to accurately document and maintain records and/or materials.
For the GS-04
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of general experience in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates progressively responsible clerical, office, or other work that indicates ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position to be filled.

In lieu of general/specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
For the GS-05
Successful completion of 4 academic years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree;
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
For the GS-04
Successful completion of at least 2 academic years above high school;
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
