About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the NGIC, GEOSPATIAL Intelligence Battalion, OPIR Division, Denver Branch, Buckley AFB, CO 80011.
Serves as a Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) Imagery Analyst.
Processes raw imagery, data, and information from a variety of sensors and sources to develop tailored, focused, and time-sensitive GEOINT (IMINT) products for a variety of users.
Responsible for the accuracy, production, and timeliness of various IMINT products and services for a variety of users.
Responsible for the creation of GEOINT (IMINT) support to targeting related products.
Responds to formal, informal requests for support and requests for information (RFI) from a variety of users and supported customers from tactical, operational and strategic level units, intelligence agencies and joint/sister services.
Provides input into development, implementation and maintenance of new processes, projects, policies, and toolsets of Army, Defense and IC processing and exploitation programs that operationalize GEOINT.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which includes Experience with GEOINT intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; experience with GEOINT tools such as ESRI ArcGIS, BAE SocetGXP, statistical analysis, graphics and maps; experience with the GEOINT systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating in-depth intelligence assessments; and experience with National System for GEOINT organizations and their methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data..
Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
