You will serve as a Housing Management Inspector in the Housing Office of NAVAL AIR STATION FALLON.

Duties

You will conduct technical housing studies (e.g., family housing, bachelor housing, Public-Private Venture (PPV)) in order to recommend changes, improvements, and reductions in operations and management areas. You will determine facility requirements to manage resources used in support of assigned bachelor or unaccompanied housing facilities and infrastructure (e.g., personnel, facilities, funds, materials). You will conduct inspections (e.g., pre-termination, termination, make-ready, check-in) in order to ensure quarters remain in good repair and meet residents' expectations while adhering to regulatory and statutory guidelines. You will administer housing and lodging procedures to ensure assignment, occupancy, and termination actions comply with established policies.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Developing and/or implementing an inspection program to identify housing deficiencies and recommend corrective actions; 2) Reviewing contract and/or maintenance work to ensure projects are completed in compliance with specifications; 3) Overseeing customer service and enterpirse Military Housing (eMH) processes associated with housing programs (i.e. Family and Bachelor Housing, Rental Partnership Program [RPP], Public-Private Venture [PPV], etc.) by maintaining referral lists and counseling applicants on types of housing available and tenant responsibilities.
