The primary purpose of this position is provide supply support for production, repair, or other operations for assigned aircraft.
Duties
Provide supply support for production, repair, or other operations for assigned aircraft.
Maintain accounts and records, completes individual transactions, screens reference files, conducts data searches, and distributes output files.
Performs accountability and management. Edits supply transactions ensuring compliance with agency and installation supply procedures and directives.
Performs document control work involved in the processing of supply transactions. Identifies errors/omissions and takes appropriate action.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, Supply Clerical and Technician Series, 2005.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-05, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assigned weapon systems. Employees use this knowledge to conduct extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and part are unique to the organizations' mission. This knowledge is also used in positions performing routine aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures in one of the major areas of supply management ( e.g., cataloging, inventory management, excess property, property utilization, or storage management).
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-05 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-06 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of supply regulations, policies, techniques, and methods.
Knowledge of policies and procedures for requisitioning and issuing of parts.
Knowledge of data entry and processing of supply transactions in an automated supply system.
Knowledge of general office administrative and clerical procedures.
Ability to apply basic analytical methods and techniques to resolve complex supply problems and/or deviate from normal supply management procedures or program requirements. Ability to conduct extensive searches for information and to reconstruct records for complex supply transactions. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of aircraft Technical Orders (T.O.s) to interpret parts breakdown.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
