You will serve as a Facility Services Assistant in the Production Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.

Duties

You will be responsible for evaluating a request and determining if it should be categorized as routine, urgent, or emergency and the lead skill set required to perform the work. You will print all work orders and forward them to the appropriate shop supervisor for assignment to a mechanic qualified to perform the work. You will notify the cognizant shop supervisor of emergency requests to ensure timely responses for urgent repairs. You will manage, track, and adjust work order data. You will ensure all personnel are kept informed of items such as open season for health benefits, Thrift Savings Plan, life insurance, etc. You will assist employees in resolving personnel issues. You will act as an Equal Employment Opportunity representative. You will serve as site point of contact for Command Security Officer to coordinate security clearance information and documentation. You will prepare documents for training and travel.

Requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Determines outstanding Preventive Maintenance (PM) deficiencies, prepares weekly/monthly reports. 2) Maintains a filling system for all completed work orders and preventative maintenance orders. 3) Prepares documents for travel and for training before submitting for authorization. 4) Manages communication at the Public Works, activates and distributes cellar phones to employees, maintains, updates both the cellular and desk phone contact information. 5) Coordinates and performs medical monitoring duties using ESAMS, works with local branch medical clinic to update employees' medical stressors. 6) Maintains inventory of office supplies and prepares purchase request to order office supplies and office equipment.
