The position is located in the Bureau of Global Public Affairs, Office of Video’s (GPA/CN/VID). The incumbent carries out the Secretary's mandate to articulate the foreign policy of the United States and to communicate with and engage U.S. and global audiences.
Duties
Serves as the Division's authority on all audiovisual planning and production, providing broad administrative direction and coordinating the execution of interrelated production activities.
Assigns tasks and guides the daily activities of the Production Division, including use of the studio suite.
Monitors production processes, methods, workflows, and the utilization of equipment to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of production processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Serves as the technical authority over all production plans, providing expert technical guidance to staff throughout the production process.
Directs activities and resolves production issues. and schedules all facilities in the Studio and Master Control suite.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
Qualifications
Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service which provided the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in video production principles and methods, modern visual communication strategies, and digital distribution platforms, producing high quality video and motion graphic productions.
Experience applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the analysis of established programs, video production methods and project management workflows.
Experience planning and managing daily operational activities for a video production team, providing technical guidance to production team members throughout the video production process.
There is no substitute of education for specialized experience for the GS-14 position.
