This position is located Aviation Management, Redmond Air Group: Redmond Deschutes, OR. This position serves as an Aviation Supply Manager for a Regional Aviation Group (RAG) directing and managing activities for the procurement, storage, refurbishment and shipment of parts, equipment and supplies for use in program/ project support, fire suppression and All-Hazard emergency. Duties

Assist in the development and maintenance of aviation inventory plans and aircraft support policies guidelines and standards. Responsible for the accurate inventory of parts and equipment in support of aviation operations. Prepare accurate records of items procured, materials issued and costs involved with established inventory plans. Recommend changes and revisions in programs in accordance with agency directives and operational needs. Implement security and accountability measures for all supplies and equipment for the unit. Implement supply orders with replacement parts and material used in aviation operations, including managing transportation, shipping and material handling equipment. Manage equipment repairs, exchanges, returns, and refurbishment and determine the need for repair and/or replacement. Prepare accurate records of work completed, materials used and costs involved with established management and inventory plans. Implement operational application, utilization and information integrity of an automated inventory system. Make recommendations on the need for reports or administrative action to be taken on accountable property that was misused, unserviceable or lost. Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: GS-9: Have One (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level. Examples of specialized experience must include one or more of the following: Assisted in the coordination of on-going emergency situations and established levels of personnel and equipment which are currently needed or which will likely be required to meet the support needs of an incident or complex of incidents; Implemented restocking supply levels to meet supply demands; Prepared initial records of work completed, materials used and costs involved with established Cache Management and Inventory Plans; Participated in implementing security and accountability measures for all supplies and equipment; Implemented the operational application, utilization and information integrity of an automated inventory system. OR Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR LL.B or J.D. in Logistics Management or Supply Management or related field of study. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
