You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Aegis Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and Aegis Warfare Coordinator (WC) courses of SURFCOMSYSTRNCMD HAMPTON ROADS.
Duties
You will serve as a learning site course and shift manager of the Aegis Tactical Action Officer (TAO) and Aegis Warfare Coordinator (WC) courses for Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) at multiple learning sites.
You will be a subject matter expert on the Aegis program, Aegis Combat System, and associated tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP).
You will lead a team of 15 officer instructors, enlisted instructors, contract instructors and contract support staff in training officers up to the grade of O-4 on tactical employment of the Aegis Combat System in IAMD and surface warfare (SUW).
You will analyze changing Aegis Combat System capabilities and employment tactics against existing course content and training system capabilities to advise curriculum control model manager of curriculum change and revision requirements.
You will conduct comprehensive technical studies in order to determine training system capabilities and assess curriculum impacts.
Requirements

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Aegis Tactical Action Officer or warfare coordinator experience. 2) Aegis instructor experience. 3) Curriculum development or curriculum management experience. 4) Subject matter expertise in Integrated Air and Missile Defense. 5) Experience using or testing Integrated Air and Missile Defense training systems. 6) Experience leading training teams or other small groups. 7) Instructor development experience. 8) Experience assessing instructor performance.
