This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA). Incumbent is a recognized expert in the field of records management. Serves as a team lead and provides technical oversight to assist NARA staff and program officials in all aspect of the records management program.

Duties

As a Lead Records and Information Management Specialist, you will: Provide technical leadership and assistance to NARA staff and program officials in all aspects of the Records and Information Management (RIM) program. Perform records management work which includes planning, controlling, directing, organizing, training, promoting, and other activities. Implement record management laws, regulations, rules, policies, precedents, processes, and procedures applicable to the NARA Records and Information Management program. Evaluate and audit agency records management practices throughout the organization.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-14, specialized experience is defined as one year of experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent in either public or private sectors. Specialized experience includes: - Performing hardcopy and electronic records management work; to include: planning, directing, organizing, and training involved with respect to records management; AND - Developing electronic records and information management programs. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable (as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F): For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
