This position is located at Departmental Offices, Domestic Finance-Financial Stability Oversight Council (FSOC). As an Administrative Management Specialist, you will provide support as an executive assistant and personal advisor on executive administration matters to the Deputy Assistant Secretary ("DAS") for FSOC and/or FSOC Directors.

Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position. Be consistent, proactive, and responsive in managing and maintaining the FSOC DAS schedule, the schedule for FSOC-related meetings, and the schedule for any assigned Directors. Assist in the planning, management, and logistics for FSOC Principals, Deputies, and other committee meetings, including scheduling meetings and handling logistics such as building access, clearance verification, conference room reservation, sending invitations, and escorting guests. Organize and host these as well as other key meetings. Maintain a high degree of awareness of management's objectives and ongoing operating programs and their relative importance in the overall mission of FSOC. Perform a variety of administrative support functions, providing administrative, clerical, and technical support services to facilitate the workflow of the organization.

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-11, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-9 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Planning and coordinating meetings by completing such duties as: directing the preparation, compilation, and distribution of materials to attendees; making the arrangements as required, speaks and acts for the office official in assigned areas, answers questions and/or makes commitments on the officials behalf; and Resolving competing demands for the office officials time in schedules, meetings, interviews, conferences, speeches, etc.; and Providing contributions to drafts of official correspondence and ensuring that documents have correct punctuation, spelling, grammar, format and style; and Researching and developing new or improved administrative management practices; and Performing various tasks such as processing travel orders and claims, timekeeping, training requests, mail filing, meeting arrangements, and weekly reports. OR EDUCATION: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. OR Education: You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.B. or J.D., if related COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Only graduate level education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be combined with experience. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-11, you must have been at the GS-9 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-9, you must have been at the GS-7 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-09, you must have been at the GS-7 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-9, you must have been at the GS-7 level for 52 weeks. TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
