Duties

Directly responsible for intensive communication with contracting personnel, equipment requestors, and command leadership. Perform substantive procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, training, publications and construction equipment from commercial vendors and government agencies. Serves as a Supply Specialist under general supervision using various purchasing methods (blanket purchase agreements, government contracting agencies, and government purchase card). Responsible for technical analysis of work procedures/methods, and data integrity; resolving complex problems; recommending solutions to unusually complicated or difficult technical supply operations issues.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain forklift training certification and license, in order to operate up to a 6K forklift.
  • Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a valid state drivers license and any installation and/or DoD license required for the type of vehicle being driven.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: quality assurance, logistics, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, business, textiles, or other fields related to this position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
