This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic DIB Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base in the DoD. Duties
You will check credentials of personnel or vehicles to control access to base posts, buildings, private property, or restricted areas.
You will monitor situations for public safety and health and reporting violations to proper authorities.
You will complete safety checks on assigned buildings, property and equipment and inspect workplaces, processes, products, or other systems for compliance with safety and occupational health policies and identify potential new hazards.
You will perform as a command first aid responder; required to administer general first aid and make determination if on-the-spot aid can be given or if evacuation to a higher facility is required.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current First Responder, First Aid, AED and CPR certifications.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- You will be required to wear a uniform.
Qualifications
For GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Safeguarding personnel and property; 2) Enforcing security rules, policies and regulations; 3) Receiving incoming emergency calls and calls for service; 4) Monitoring radio frequency; and 5) Monitoring closed circuit tv and electronic security systems.
For GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Safeguarding personnel and property; 2) Enforcing security rules, policies and regulations; 3) Receiving incoming emergency calls and calls for service; 4) Monitoring radio frequency and coordinating security response; 5) Monitoring closed circuit tv and electronic security systems; and 6) Responding to emergency and routine calls for service and complete security documentation.
For GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Safeguarding personnel and property; 2) Enforcing security rules, policies and regulations; 3) Receiving incoming emergency calls and calls for service; 4) Monitoring radio frequency and coordinating security response; 5) Monitoring closed circuit tv and electronic security systems; 6) Responding to emergency and routine calls for service and complete security documentation; and 7) Providing support to the shift supervisor and acting as such during supervisor's absence.
