Duties
You will be responsible for planning, programming, budgeting, organizing, directing and monitoring programs and coordinating the total work effort for the Subsea and Seabed Warfare Branch.
You will oversee the allocation of resources and tasking to a network of support Navy laboratories and field activities and contractor groups.
You will develop strategic undersea warfare requirements related to Subsea and Seabed Warfare.
You will serve as the principal advisor on future undersea warfare systems and capabilities, to include off-board systems and undersea vehicles.
You will advise senior personnel on the formulation, coordination, supervision, and execution of improvements for undersea warfare related to Subsea and Seabed Warfare.
You will service as the Branch Head, Subsea and Seabed Branch and a senior civilian for undersea research, development, test and evaluation of new weapons, sensor systems programs, policy across the life-cycle spectrum.
You will ensure increased capabilities meet emerging threats.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- You may be required to travel up to 15%, some travel may be outside of the US
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Managing and overseeing the development, acquisition, and fielding of advanced undersea warfare technologies such as weapons systems, payloads, sensors, and communications.
Directing the collection of data, conducting studies, establishing projects, providing position papers or legislative proposals.
Conducting strategic assessments of future needs to develop innovative technology and transitioning it to operations.
