About the Position: Serve as supply clerk in the US Army Medical Test and Evaluation Activity and perform a variety of hand-receipting, property inventory, documenting, adjusting and supply support administrative and clerical duties. Serve as the purchase agent, hand receipt holder, and administrator, building workorder clerk and safety officer. Drive a medium size automotive military vehicle to move equipment and supplies. Perform mail and file duties which includes the handling of secure mail.
Duties
Perform a variety of duties for maintenance of hand-receipts as the organizational hand receipt holder for all expendable, exchangeable and other property.
Perform work in the areas of requesting, receiving, issuing and storing of equipment and devices, material for producing repair parts and expendable supplies for operational test activities.
Input transactions into appropriate systems to order, track, receive, and pay for requests (i.e. GCSS-A, DMLSS, GFEBS, automated 1135s).
Operate required automotive transport vehicle requiring the appropriate Driver's License and the US Government Motor Vehicle Operators Identification Card.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing duties relating to supply and administration as it pertains to furnishing all types of durable and non-durable supplies, equipment, material, property, and certain services to components of the government; Operational experience working with supply regulations, policies, procedures relating to the specific requirements of requisitioning supplies, repair, and replacement parts; Identify stock items recommending substitute of supply items when original supplies are not available; Utilize government purchase card program to purchase supplies and equipment using supply manuals, or manufacturer catalogues; maintain building management work orders for buildings and workspace repairs, and track equipment issued by the organization or higher headquarters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).

Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
