Duties
You will serve as the MK30 subject-matter expert in operations and maintenance of MK 30 ASW targets and associated systems.
You will provide and assist in the technical, engineering, maintenance, and sustainment tasks and requirements associated with the MK30 in support of US Navy, Joint Forces and Foreign Military test and training operations.
You will provide proposed technical solutions, as needed.
You will participate in-group planning meetings, briefings with other commands, conferences, and meetings with active duty personnel, as needed, to acquire requirements and/or mission planning input.
You will serve as the Building manager for the Operations Site adhering and complying with all procedures and policies related to facilities, security and safety requirements.

- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.
- You will be required to sign the Statement of Understanding for Overseas Employment acknowledging receipt and understanding of the statement of living and working conditions for this location.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-5/8) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing application of technical theory in mechanical, electronic, or electro-mechanical systems, systems engineering; adherence; quality assurance; management technical skills; planning and execution of corrective and preventive maintenance, reliability assessments; supportability and operations of anti-submarine warfare systems.

Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual. Applicants must possess:
knowledge of the techniques and theories characteristic of electronics, such as a knowledge of basic electricity and electronic theory, algebra, and elementary physics;
knowledge of electronic equipment design, development, evaluation, testing, installation, and maintenance; and
knowledge of the capabilities, limitations, operations, design, characteristics, and functional use of a variety of types and models of electronic equipment and systems related to, but less than, a full professional knowledge of electronic engineering.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
