This position is in the Office of Research and Development (ORD), Center for Public Health and Environmental Assessment, Integrated Climate Sciences Division, Integration and Evaluation Branch.

Qualifications
In addition to the educational requirements, we are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing leadership, oversight or technical expertise related to the development of human health assessments; and developing and/or implementing policies and guidelines for climate-related environmental changes.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as providing leadership, oversight or technical expertise related to the development of human health assessments; establishing and monitoring performance measures to assess the effectiveness related activities; and developing and/or implementing policies and guidelines for climate-related environmental changes.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of human health assessments; 2) Knowledge of climate-driven environmental changes; 3) Ability to serve as technical authority on new and existing approaches; 4) Skill in developing scientific assessments; 5) Skill in written communication; 6) Skill in data analysis of population/demographics and social determinants; 7) Skill in collaborative work with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders; 8) Skill in oral communication.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education
You need a degree or combination of education and experience as described below to qualify for this position.
You must have a bachelor's or higher degree from an accredited or pre-accredited college or university in the following: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences related to the work of this position.
