About the Position: Serve as a Engineering Technician (Electrical) for Engr & Spt Center, Huntsville, Engineering Directorate, Mechanical Electrical Division Electronic Security Branch.

Duties

Incumbent works under the general supervision of the Chief, Electronic Security Branch, who outlines objectives and priorities. Develops approach for furnishing technical advice and guidance on Electronic Security Center (ESC)/Electronic Security Systems Mandatory Center of Expertise (ESS-MCX) assignments. Incumbent is free to perform technical functions including analyses or studies required independently. Completed work is reviewed for obtaining objectives in multiple venues. Position requires knowledge of design and construction of Electronic Security Systems (ESS), data acquisition control systems, low voltage systems but is also concerned with general electrical skills, knowledge, and abilities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires Temporary Duty Travel at 10% of the time.
  • This position requires a Secret Security Clearance.
