You will serve as a INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE TECHNICIAN in the Hygiene Program Office of NMRTU WORTH TX.
Duties
You will complete Exposure Monitoring Plans for multiple naval activities on naval bases.
You will perform field measurements using industrial hygiene sampling equipment,
You will manage equipment calibration, prevention maintenance and repair programs within IHPO.
You will plan, coordinate and conduct complete sampling evaluations for work operations involving potentially hazardous environmental conditions, and provide written documentation work.
You will enter exposure monitoring data into Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System – Industrial Hygiene (DOEHRS-IH), MS Office Suite software or other IHD databases.
You will prepare instructional outlines and provide technical instruction to IH professionals, technicians and workplace monitors on the use of new and technically advanced IH equipment.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS-08:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Using Industrial Hygiene sampling equipment to perform field measurements.
Evaluating and measuring occupational health hazards to write technical briefs, procedures, sampling surveys, and instructional outlines.
Evaluating and measuring occupational health hazards in a variety of settings sufficient to give guidelines of a broad scope to complex work processes.
Performing field measurements on Industrial Hygiene sampling equipment.
Providing technical instruction and training in the area of industrial hygiene.
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Evaluating and measuring occupational health hazards in a variety of settings sufficient to complete moderately difficult Industrial Hygiene Technician work.
Conducting and documenting sampling surveys that involve a broad variety of industrial-type operations found on military installations.
Evaluating and measuring occupational health hazards to write technical briefs, procedures, sampling surveys, and instructional outlines.
Evaluating and measuring occupational health hazards in a variety of settings sufficient to give guidelines of a broad scope to complex work processes.
Performing field measurements on Industrial Hygiene sampling equipment.
Providing technical instruction and training in the area of industrial hygiene.
Interpreting and analyzing data, plan work, or refine methods and techniques to determine best course of action for problem resolution.
