Duties
You will provide direct supervision to employees within the Navy Enterprise Cyber Security Architecture domain of the command.
You will provide advice, counsel, and instructions to assigned personnel on both work and administrative matters keeping them abreast of developing career opportunities and assignments.
You will interview candidates for Defensive Cyberspace Operations (CND/DCO) architecture and capability integration positions and provide recommendations for promotions or reassignments.
You will establish “Battle Rhythm” for personnel assigned and plans based on Navy and Command priorities, difficulty of assignments, and capabilities of persons assigned.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must successfully complete a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph with No Deception Indicated (NDI).

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 651 level Advanced within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
1-Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Planning, evaluating, and establishing completion schedules, deadlines, and standards for acceptable levels of product delivery.
2-Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individual who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing daily oversight of and coordinating with assigned SPAWAR liaison personnel on matters regarding enterprise architectural issues.
3-Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing advice and instructing assigned personnel on technical matters relating to Navy CND/DCO architecture.
4-Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Overseeing conflict/dispute resolution and arranging for higher-level review of serious or unresolved personnel issues to the next level supervisor.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience such as:
*Experience using judgement, resourcefulness, initiative, and exercising broad latitude to determine the intent of applicable guidelines.
*Experience evaluating and providing input on proposed CND/DCO policies for applicability and effectiveness.
*Experience providing direct supervision to subordinate personnel by organizing and planning work assignments within the Technical Director Office.
*Experience influencing and persuading employees and managers to accept and implement findings and recommendations to guide architecture improvements and ideas.
