The position is located within the Office of the US Trade Representative (USTR). The incumbent's primary responsibility involves managing the USTR's Advisory Committees.

Duties
As a Program Analyst, GS-301-9, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:
The incumbent's primary responsibility involves managing the USTR's Advisory Committees. Coordinates and manages invitations and special events from private sector, industry officials, and National Governor Organizations; makes recommendations on the Ambassador's attendance.
Coordinates and manages monthly Chair calls. Follows up with USTR's policy offices on specific issues that need to be raised during calls or in meetings with the senior leadership, including the Ambassador.
Creates strategic outreach projects including working to generate robust validating statements of support from various industries on key announcements and implementation issues.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: All applicants must meet the qualification requirements outlined below to be considered minimally qualified for this position. The qualification requirements are in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards.
ALL QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
You may qualify at the GS-9 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualification requirements:
A. One year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal Service, obtained in either the private or public sector, which includes:
Familiarity with the interagency process within the U.S. government. AND
Monitoring and tracking work associated with Advisory Committees. AND
Conducting outreach to build support from domestic stakeholders in business, state and local governments, and Non-Governmental Groups (NGO).
OR
Education may be substituted at the GS-09 under the following criteria:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree; Or
2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; Or
LL.B, LL.M., or J.D., if related.
Education

PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society.
GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study. Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
