THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a TITLE 5 JOINT INTERFACE AND NETWORK OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (MI 127 WG), Position Description Number 7Q-R22460 and is part of the MI 127 Wing, National Guard. This is a Temporary Indefinite vacancy. The hiring agency has the option to extend this appointment up to a maximum total of 4 years.
Duties
***THIS IS A TITLE 5 NATIONAL GUARD EXPECTED POSITION***
The primary purpose of this position is: To perform duties as Joint Data Network Officer, contract Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE), security advisor, facilities/equipment specialist and Wing Link Unit Manager for the 191 OSS Mission Planning Cell (MPC) operations. Identify, review and resolve operational initiatives through planning, execution and project assessment conducted in MPC operations. Further, this position must be prepared to advise MAJCOM of necessary future PD modifications for unit and MDS support.
1. USAF Network Warfare Center Joint Data Network Officer (JDNO), technical expert/advisor to leadership on operation, maintenance, and equipment configuration of the air and space Common Tactical Picture (CTP).
2. Establishes, develops and maintains effective work relationships.
3. Ground Control Intercept and Surface Air Defense Integration.
4. Range Contracts, Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE).

qualify for access to SCI and various special access programs.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum time required:36 - 42 Months
Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Applicants who have the 1 year of appropriate specialized experience, as indicated in the table, are not required by this standard to have general experience, education above the high school level, or any additional specialized experience to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
Knowledgeable of Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) concepts, principles, and practices of specific systems/equipment.
Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures and operations of Coalition, Joint and Air Force data link capable weapon systems to provide guidance for joint interface control operations.
Skill in providing technical advice in the form of oral and written briefings, reports, and recommendations to senior leadership and technicians.
Skill in analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings, technical manuals, and technical data; as well as identifying and analyzing complex technical problems and developing innovative solutions.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions of an organization and associate organizations, and reprioritize work to meet changing deadlines.
Ability to develop and conduct training to ensure proper operation of data link systems/equipment; and communicate well, both orally and in writing.
Knowledge of required security and safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
